Top 4 Restoration Job Management Software
Having restoration specific software is a critical component to the success of every restoration company. Scaling a restoration company on pen & paper is no longer an option. Below we outline the top 5 restoration job management software and the pros and cons of each!
Albi is a restoration specific job management software built by restoration contractors who were unhappy with the market offerings out there. Albi’s robust platform handles everything from marketing, sales, operations, hr, providing the restorer a full suite of software solutions.
Choose for: The independent restoration contractor that wants to leverage modern-day technology to streamline their processes.
Pros: Albi is very easy and intuitive to use. It takes 1 day to implement, 1 week to proficiency, and less than a month to mastery. It is highly customizable and covers all aspects of your restoration business.
Cons: Albi can get a bit more expensive for certain companies due to the features it offers. As of today, Albi does not have an XactAnalysis integration due to Verisk’s integration policies.
Pricing: $1500 onboarding, $60 – $100 per user per month enterprise plans available
Dash is a all-inclusive restoration software that has been around since the mid 2000s. It is considered the “800 pound gorilla” in the restoration industry. Recently acquired by CoreLogic, Next Gear Solutions prides itself in developing for both the carrier and the contractor and coming up with solutions that reduce claims friction.
Choose for: The restoration contractor that does heavy TPA & Vendor work.
Pros: Next Gear’s platform is deeply nestled within the insurance ecosystem, and data flows flawlessly from contractors to carriers. Although outdated technology and harder to use, Dash has a robust system that can handle most of restorer’s business functions.
Cons: Having been developed almost 20 years ago, Dash’s infrastructure lacks modern day technology, making it more difficult to use and less friendly to integrations. There also is a significant concern to the fact that the largest customer base Next Gear serves is the insurance carriers.
Pricing: $2500 onboarding, $750 – $1150 per company per month
Xcelerate also has deep restoration roots, as it was founded by a former restoration general manager.
Choose For: The restoration contractor that wants to follow another company’s processes.
Pros: Xcelerate is more intuitive to use than most restoration software. Their unique “master job” feature allows cross communication between projects that have the same customers. Xcelerate has a lot of integrations including matterport, zapier, and much more!
Cons: Xcelerate is not highly customizable, forcing the restorer to follow the static KPIs and flows that were created by the founders. Xcelerate does not offer field moisture mapping or restoration specific software. These needs are accommodated by integrations. Furthermore Xcelerate is primarily developed off shore, which creates a lot of technical difficulties for the platform overall.
Pricing: $1500 onboarding, $50 – $85 per user per month
Job Nimbus is an industry agnostic lightweight software that is primarily used by roofers.
Choose For: The start-up restoration contractor that needs invoicing and a light system to use.
Pros: Easy to use, lightweight. Lots of integration options. Has built in invoicing and payment acceptance portals. Integrates with Xactware.
Cons: No restoration specific features/functionality. Limited internal functionality, relies heavily on integrations with other systems to get the job done.
Pricing: $750 onboarding, $50 – $100 per user per month
